Roll call was answered by "How many exhibits did you take to the Labette County Fair?" Although a lot of members did not take any exhibits, the total for the group was over 50 exhibits. To encourage more participation, Nancy announced that she would give a little prize to anyone that took an exhibit to the fair
next year.
Committee Reports:
- The donation quilt top is done, and it needs to be quilted.
- Tammy Goodyear told us that the alphabet & number blocks made with applique on 9" denim squares are done for the three area pre-schools. They will be put in storage boxes and delivered soon.
Sign-up is still going on at the extension office for the trip to the sewing expo in Kansas City on
November 22. You must pay your $10 to get your name on the list and reserve your spot in the van.
The Donna Thomas workshop is coming on August 24. A sign-up sheet was passed around to bring soup, sandwiches, or dessert. There are still available spots to take the class on using her new ruler.
BOM
There were eleven blocks made for BOM this time.
Carolyn Green won the drawing,The prize was a quick quarter quilter's ruler.

SHOW AND TELL
Dorthy Bath showed us the cutest little onesie with an added fabric skirt that she had made for a new granddaughter. She had serged all the fabric edges so that it will not fray when washed.
It was adorable!
