Roll call was answered by "Your Favorite Sewing Accessory" at the July 2012 Itchin' for Stitchin' Guild meeting.  The amended by-laws were presented and accepted by the group.

The winner of the donation quilt was Becky Carter, from Altamont, KS.

Joan Gartner won Block of the Month.   Arleen McKinney, Gloria Eaton, and Joan had participated in the BOM project.  The project for next month is to make two pillowcases-which would make a good fair exhibit.  The Labette County Fair starts July 31.

Karen Boehner gave a program about upcycling denim.  She showed us how she had used old jeans to make quilts, bags, pillows, and a sewing thread catcher.  The link for the site for the denim bags is


SHOW AND TELL
Shelby Blackburn,(Rita's granddaughter) was a guest at our meeting.  For show and tell, she showed us the dress that she had made for the fair.  YEA SHELBY!!!

Rhonda Heston showed us the Drunkard's Path and Applique quilt that she is making for the Iowas State Fair.  It celebrates the 100 year anniversary of the Iowa Honey Producers.
Mary Ann Vanderford showed us the quilt that she had made from the block swap.
We enjoyed ice cream and cookies for dessert.
