President Nita Billman presided over the November meeting of the Itchin' for Stitchin' Guild. Roll call was "Something I am thankful for", 15 members were present.
The Christmas committee would like members to RSVP for the Christmas Party by emailing Nancy or contacting one of the committee members.
Members are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the adopted family to the next meeting.
Becky asked that items to be sold at the auction be brought to the January meeting.
Nancy said that the next block swap would begin in January and to let her know if you want to participate.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH
This month's project was to make a decorated tea towel. Ruth, Rita, Gloria, and Nita all made beautiful towels. The winner of the drawing was Ruth.
Next month's project will be a memory bag. This bag uses Artist Transfer Paper. The image is ironed onto the fabric. Embellishments are added and the bag is stitched.
SHOW AND TELL
Carolyn showed the two quilts that she had made for donation quilts. The backing was minky. which made them very soft.
Carolyn also had her batik block swap quilt complete. She had enlarged it to make it king size.
Peggy showed her bargello with a twist quilt.

For the program, Peggy Wintjen told us how to apply binding to quilt. Her description for the corners will be very helpful.
We sang "Happy Birthday" to Rhonda Heston.
Friendship and laughter were evident throughout the evening.
Ruth and Linda brought us some yummy desserts--pumpkin bread, banana bread, sandwiches, and more.
