March 2010 Guild Meeting

5th Monday Project

Nancy Kessler will be teaching a '5th Monday Project on Monday, March 29, at the Quilter's Bin.
The project is by Lazy Girl and is called Maggy - two different sized pouches. The cost of the
class is $8 (this is for the pattern) and you will also need to bring the following- two coordinating
10 inch squares of fabric, thread for top stitching, fusible batting for the big pouch and fusible
interfacing for the small one. If you plan to take the class, please tell Nancy Kessler by March 20th.
Donation Quilts

For those that would like to help work on making donation quilts, a group will be meeting on April 17th from 9-3. Bring a covered dish to share for lunch.

Twilling Class

Arlene McKinney will be teaching a Twilling class on March 11th from 5-9pm and on March 27 from 10am - 3pm at the Quilter's Bin. Both classes are the same- you may choose the date that works best for you. Please bring a covered dish if you come to the March 11th class.

Beginner Applique Class

Darcy Ashton will be coming to the Quilter's Bin on May 22nd from 10am - 4pm to teach a beginner's applique class. The cost is $25. Please contact Peggy Reynolds to sign up.

Altamont Flag Day

Altamont Flag Day is June 12, 2010. Our guild is making a quilt to auction off and our next day to work on it is Monday March 8th from 6-8pm at the Quilter's Bin. If you can, please bring red, off white and blue fabric.

Block of the Month

Peggy Reynolds was the winner of the February BOM drawing! The next and last block for this mystery project is a heart applique block.

There were two young guests at this meeting. Sydney, 3 year old daughter of guild member Tara Foster, granddaughter of guild member Rita Foster and Lily Gilreath, 5 month old daughter of guild member Sarah Gilreath.
