March 6, 2014
Carol Nicholas was our guest at the March meeting.
We had a brief meeting.  MaryAnn told us that we would be starting the new guild year soon, and the nominating committee will be contacting people soon.  We will be electing new officers, signing up for programs, hospitality, and committees.  Be thinking about what you can do to help.

Peggy brought us some wonderful show-and-tell.  She has been very busy!  This quilt was the BOM at the Independence Guild. She changed it up to be a smaller throw and a table runner.

This Christmas tree wall hanging featured many different machine-quilting patterns.
This quilt was from Keepsake Quilting.
It is called "Snowmen  on Parade".
This is from the Dewey Quilt shop,
 called "Splendid Harvest."

We had our annual fund raiser auction at the March meeting.
Colton Kessler acted as our auctioneer
and  Taylor (MaryAnn's granddaughter) was his assistant.
We had a lot of handmade items to sell at the auction.
 This really helped our profits.

Unfortunately, I missed the Kodak moment with Colton modeling the scarf!

The fundraising committee would like to thank everyone for making our auction a great success again. It is a fun and quick way to raise money to support our guild through the year. Special thanks to Betty Schneickert for being the clerk. Great job.
Thanks to your donations we raised $475!!
After the auction, we enjoyed some awesome snacks prepared by Karen Taylor and Sue Ostlie.
