Roll call was answered by "How many people are you having at Thanksgiving? Tammy Goodyear answered with the largest number.
We started the evening with the program by Julie Traxson. She had invited Hannah and Layla Bradfield to show off the projects that they had made at Sewing Camp held last summer in Girard. The girls went to camp Monday-Friday every morning. They learned about sewing equipment, hand stitching, and using the sewing machine. Labette County extension is planning a similar camp next summer. The theme will be "Around the World." Sewing materials and volunteers will be needed.
Both girls made a pillow that featured clear plastic over aquatic cut-outs.
